Million Dollar Mami was born from the heart and vision of its founder, Natasha Ponce, also known as Mz Mala. Her inspiration stems from a deep love for female empowerment, especially for mothers who may struggle with self-confidence after motherhood—a journey Natasha knows personally. Becoming a mom challenged how she viewed herself, and through that experience, she discovered a powerful purpose: helping women rediscover their beauty, confidence, and worth at every stage of life.

As a proud woman of mixed race, of Latina and Asian origin, as well as being married to her Jamaican husband, Natasha strongly believes that all cultures are beautiful and deserve to be celebrated, elevated, and showcased to the world. Million Dollar Mami reflects her passion for inclusivity, empowerment, and cultural appreciation—where every woman, from every background, is treated like the luxury she is.

Natasha is not only the founder but also our expert Nail Technician with over 5 years of professional experience. She has trained and earned certifications from top Toronto salons, including The Pink Room and Nail God, mastering a wide range of nail techniques with precision and artistry.

In addition, Natasha is a 3x certified Lash Technician, having completed advanced courses with renowned lash educators such as LashGodRaq and an accredited program at Canadian Beauty School. Her dedication to continuous education ensures every client receives high-quality, professional, and confidence-boosting results.

MARLEY EDWARDS

Marley Edwards is the creative force behind Million Dollar Mami’s makeup and hair transformations. Marley, Canadian born but of Jamaican descent, has had a lifelong passion for makeup and beauty, turning that love into a thriving career with over 10 years of experience owning her own business.

From set-ready glam to flawless bridal looks, Marley has mastered the art of enhancing natural beauty while honoring individuality. Her professional background includes working at Sephora, giving her expert-level knowledge of products, techniques, and personalized recommendations tailored to every skin tone and texture.

Beyond makeup, Marley specializes in hair installations and braiding, empowering Black queens by helping them feel confident, beautiful, and truly seen. Making women feel like a million dollars has always been at the core of her mission.

Fun fact: Marley is also a talented artist and songwriter, with a powerful and touching song titled “Black Woman.” If anyone embodies cultural pride and celebrates the beauty of her people, it’s Marley—bringing heart, soul, and artistry into every transformation.
